Privacy policy
We process personal data in line with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). This section explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have.
What we collect
- Reservations. When you book a table through the form on this site, your details are collected and processed by the reservation platform ialoc.ro: typically your name, phone number, email address, date, time and party size, plus any notes you add.
- Direct contact. If you email or call us, we keep your contact details and the content of your message in order to answer it.
- Technical data. The servers hosting this site (Vercel) automatically record standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, for operation and security.
We use no advertising cookies, tracking pixels or web analytics tools on this site. We never sell or rent personal data to third parties.
Why we process it
- Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps: handling your reservation.
- Legitimate interest: operating and securing the website, and replying to enquiries.
- Legal obligations: keeping accounting records where applicable.
Who we share it with
Data reaches only the providers who help us deliver the service: the reservation platform ialoc.ro, our web host (Vercel) and our email provider. Each processes data under its own terms and privacy policy. We may disclose data to public authorities where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep reservation and contact data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, then delete or anonymise it. Accounting documents are retained for the period required by law.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of and port your data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, write to reception@komodolounge.ro. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro).
Cookies and local storage
This site uses no analytics or advertising cookies. We use the browser's local storage for a few strictly functional preferences:
komodo:venue— remembers which venue you chose (Floreasca or Old Town), so we don't ask on every visit.komodo_lang— remembers the language you selected in the digital menu.komodo_visit— remembers when you opened the digital menu and how many times, so we don't show the invitation to leave a review the moment you sit down.komodo_review— remembers that you have already seen that invitation, so we don't repeat it.
This information stays in your browser, is never transmitted to us, and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings. The ialoc.ro reservation widget may set its own cookies under that platform's policy.
Terms of use
The content of this site — text, photography, graphics and the Komodo Lounge name — is protected by copyright and may not be reproduced without our written consent.
Information about dishes, prices and opening hours is published in good faith and updated regularly, but may change. Prices are shown in Romanian lei (RON) and include VAT. Availability of dishes may vary. To confirm any detail before your visit, please call us.
Reservations made through ialoc.ro are subject to that platform's terms. A booking is confirmed only once you receive confirmation through the platform or directly from us.
Entry to the venue and shisha tobacco consumption are permitted only to persons aged 18 or over, in line with applicable law.
Complaints and dispute resolution
If something wasn't right, write to us first at reception@komodolounge.ro — we try to resolve everything directly. As a consumer, you may also contact:
